Decades ago, truck beds were substantially lower, so that you could often step right up, fairly easily. Pickup trucks have grown taller over time (see article detailing this). As a result, the passenger compartment doors (Floor height commonly 18 – 22”) have intermediate steps installed under them on most pickup trucks. The cargo box bed is higher (commonly 33 – 37”) and much more difficult to up and into.
EZEStep is an intermediate step that extends from one rear wheel to the other around the whole back end. It’s about halfway between the ground and the cargo bed. You can step up anywhere you want, whenever you want or need to (tailgate up or down) without having to go where a small step is and pull it out or down.
